Darwin C. "Colonel" Klink, 75, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Brighton Rehab & Wellness Center.
Born October 26, 1941, in Beaver Falls, he was a son of the late Kenneth Charles and Mildred Pearl (Haire) Klink. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Okinawa, where he was crew chief on the F-100, and transferred to Del Rio, Texas, where he was crew chief of the Silver U-2. Darwin had worked 23 years at the former J&L Steel and 20 years at the Zelienople Sunoco Plaza. He was a member of the Rod & Classic Car Club and a total car enthusiast. Most of all, he was a loving family man.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Anna Edith (Schuller) Klink; two sons, Kenneth C. Klink, North Sewickley Twp., and Donald C. (Anna) Klink, Patterson Twp.; one daughter, Kelly A. Klink, North Sewickley Twp., and one grandson, Michael A. Klink.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Harold Haire officiating.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to provide military honors.
Private interment will take place in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
