Kenneth P. Gacesa Sr., 70, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly while recovering from heart surgery at a friend’s home in Center Twp.

Born April 14, 1947 in New Brighton a son of the late Mylo B. Gacesa and Elizabeth (Evans) Gacesa Stewart. He was a longtime technician for Brighton Music Center in New Brighton. Ken was very involved his whole life, in all capacities with the music community in the tri-state area. He was a member of the Monacrest Free Methodist Church, Monaca and the New Springfield Church of God, Ohio where he was actively involved with the praise teams

Surviving are his son Kenneth P. Gacesa Jr, Rochester, one brother Jack Stewart Sr. New Brighton, granddaughter, Delaunay Yaromey;  sister-in-law; Karen Gacesa, Chippewa, nephew Jason (Sue) Gacesa, New Brighton, niece Lynn Anne Gacesa, Bangor, Maine, one aunt Pearl Gacesa, New Brighton, many nieces, nephews, cousins and his church family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Ronald and William Gacesa.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton. Wednesday, friends will be received from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 11am in the Monacrest Free Methodist Church, 995 Elmira Avenue, Monaca with Pastor Collene Carney officiating.

Cremation will take place after the service.
