Loretta C. ‘Gram’ Grant East Rochester Loretta C. “Gram” Grant, 90, of East Rochester, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Rochester Manor.
Born September 3, 1927, in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of the late Mathias and Elnora (Sellers) Ruppenkamp, she was a homemaker who devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew her, loved her and called her Gram. She was well known by all for her Sunday spaghetti and meatball dinners. She was also a devout member of St. Cecelia Parish, Rochester, and Christian Mothers who enjoyed bowling, merchandise bingo, and playing cards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Kyser” Grant on July 12, 2002; one son, Gary Grant, on February 24, 1982; her siblings, William, Margaret, Marie, Sister Marcella, Helen, and Eleanor.
Gram will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Glenn Camp, East Rochester; two grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Camp, Brighton Twp.; Stephanie (Phil) Satterfield, Cranberry Twp.; three great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Hardy, and Sloane and Tess Satterfield; one brother, Gerald Ruppenkamp, Cumberland, Md.; one sister, Mildred Jolley, Cumberland, Md.; many nieces, nephews and their families, and her cat, “Petie”.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Rochester.
Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Daugherty Twp.
