Eugene   M. "Gene" Palmer, 85, of Beaver Falls, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Curahealth, Beaver.
Born December 12, 1932, in Butler, he was a son of the late Eugene, Sr. and Mary (Stock) Palmer. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Marine Corps and retired after 40 years of service with the former J&L Steel and LTV Steel. He was a member of the New Brighton Christian Assembly and enjoyed going to the Coffee Klatch and the Life Center. He was a member of the SNPJ of Enon Valley.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Mildred (Atkinson) Palmer; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Joie Palmer, Beaver Falls; one daughter, Christina Elizabeth McClester, Maryland; four grandchildren, Madelyn and Wyatt McClester, and Benjamin and Jeremiah Palmer; one brother, Byron (Evelyn) Palmer; two sisters, Paula Alaicia and Nora Kasarea; one brother-in-law Everett (Hilda) Atkinson; two sisters-in-law Mary Graham and Pamela Dornbusch; the Stock family, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Maryann Kerns, Jack Palmer, Greg Palmer and Nancy Clark.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:30 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Sam DeMarco officiating.
Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the cemetery to provide military honors.
