Jay Robert Weaver

Jay Robert Weaver, 61, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 25, 1957, in Rochester, a son of Hilda (Davis) Weaver, Patterson Twp. and the late Robert Weaver. Jay attended Triangle Tech and became a self-employed electrician. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events and gathering the family at his home for big dinners. An avid hunter and outdoors man, he was a very selfless man with a heart of gold. He was an active member of the F.O.E. #1342, New Brighton, where he was a past president; the West Mayfield Vets; and Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Darlene (Klitz) Weaver; two sons, Joshua (Carly) Weaver, Evans City, and Tyler (Laura) Haddox, Pittsburgh; two daughters, Jessica (Sam) Ward, New Sewickley Twp., and Jessica (Mike) Lewis, New Brighton; nine grandchildren, Hunter, Evan, Emma, Addison, Heath, Easton, Chloe, Lana and Mina; one brother, Ryan Weaver, Sheffield, Pa.; one sister, Debbie (Fred) Haddad, New Sewickley Twp.; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Weaver, Huntsville, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Weaver.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
