John Misik, 93, of Beaver Falls, passed away Saturday November 9, 2019, at Cambridge Village, Beaver Falls.
Born October 20, 1926, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Cornelius and Mary (Pesko) Misik. A proud veteran of the United States Army Air Force, he served his country in World War II and was active in the Pacific Theater. He was Catholic by faith, and was a long-time member of the Beaver Falls Owls.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, John (Amy) Misik Jr., grandson, Michael Misik, sister and brother-in-law, Eileen (Fred) Kaminski, nieces Karen Wallace and Cathy (Tony) Nigro, nephew, Jim Kaminski, great nieces, Samantha Wallace and Christi Wallace, great nephew, AJ Nigro, and former wife and caretaker, Nettie Boehmer.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cornelius “Corny” Misik, and Joseph Misik.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 until the time of a Blessing Service at 7pm, in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave. New Brighton.
Private interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
