 It is with great sadness that the family of Louis V. Ondrusek, 81, announce his unexpected passing on May 19, 2019.

Born on July 23, 1937 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Michael Sr. and Claira (Luckowski) Ondrusek. He was a graduate of New Brighton High School, attended Geneva College, and graduated from Robert Morris University. He served with the United States Army as a sergeant with the 3rd Armored Division and was a paratrooper with both the 82nd Airborne and 8th Airborne in Germany. Louis was Vice-President and Controller of Valley Wholesale doing business as Economy Super Market.  In addition, he and his brother, David, owned and operated the Northern Lights Foodland for 10 years. He also served as a trustee for Employers Tri-State Health Fund and with the Beaver Falls Area Industrial Development for many years.

Louis will be remembered by his beloved wife of 56 years, Astrid Ondrusek, two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Nick Komo, Claudette and Brian Debo, grandchildren Jessica (Christopher Watt) Ondrusek, AIA, Adam Komo, Hannah (Dr. Jared) Magee, MA, Carly (Jake) Dagostino, AS, great-grandchildren, Liviana and Dean Dagostino, a brother David (Janice) Ondrusek and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ondrusek Jr.

Family and friends are invited to attend his mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 7th Avenue, New Brighton.

Immediately following, family and friends are also invited to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester where members of the Beaver County Special Unit will provide military honors.
