Richard Coburn Obituary

Richard T. Coburn, 75, of New Brighton, passed away suddenly Sunday, March 25, 2018, at his home.


Born December 29, 1942, in New Brighton, a son of the late Charles E. and Norma (Reda) Coburn. Richard was a self-employed contractor.


Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann (McDanel) Coburn whom he married September 15, 1959; two daughters, Diana (Jeff) Apotosh, Darlington, and Joey (Roger) Rossi, New Brighton; two sons, Terry Coburn and Forrest Coburn, both of New Brighton; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Robert Coburn and Clifford Coburn, both of New Brighton; one sister, Norma Jean Sargent, Beaver Falls; and many nieces, nephews and their families.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Coburn Jr., 2013; one daughter, Pamela Coburn, 2017; two brothers, William and Donald Coburn; and two sisters, Dorothy Coburn and Betty Nicholson.


Friends will be received Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Bill Blume officiating.


Private burial will take place in Concord Church Cemetery, North Sewickley Twp.
