Eldon J. Dean, 62, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at his home after a three fight with cancer taking his greatest road trip ever.
We won't say that he lost the battle because in the end everyone wins. He won his place in heaven. We won three more years of memories, road trips, laughter and his "Smile" to fill our hearts with. For a man of so few words, he has touched the lives of so many. Our hearts, our lives and for many of us, our worlds were changed because of him…and will never be the same without him.
To an amazing man, husband, father, cousin, "Brother" and friend. We love you. Save us a seat up there. The next ones on us.
Born January 3, 1952 in New Brighton, a son of the late Eldon and Bessie (Hill) Dean. He was retired from Nova Chemicals where he worked in utilities. He was a member of the S.O.I. #1883 and the United Croatian Club, both in New Brighton.
Surviving are his wife, Diana M. (Ross) Dean whom he married October 6, 1972; two sons, Jason Eldon Dean and Brian Eldon Dean and one granddaughter, Gracelynn Dean, all of New Brighton; an aunt, Sarah Lilly, Darlington; sister-in-law, Nancy Macioce, Boardman, OH; cousin, John (Carol) Hill, Darlington and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing.
Friends will be received Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com.
