Mary Lou Demeter

Mary Lou Demeter, 83, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 24, 2013, at her home.

Born April 25, 1930, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Perelli) Perrott. Mary Lou was retired from The Medical Center, where she worked as a benefits coordinator, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins fan. She was an active member of Holy Family Parish, New Brighton, and was faithful to her family and church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. Lou Demeter; a son, David Demeter, and a sister, Sarah D. Ross.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Ricardo Amesquita, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Kelsey, Connor and Morgan; a brother-in-law, Jack "Gudie" Ross, New Brighton; three nieces, Julie Martin, Jackie Ballay and Barbara Nalepa; one nephew, Jim Ross, and their families.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a Memorial Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish, New Brighton.

Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Holy Family Parish, New Brighton.
