Mary Jeanette (Shively) Dillon
Mary Jeanette (Shively) Dillon, 99, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born November 19, 1916, in Freedom, a daughter of the late Homer and Catherine (Gregory) Shively, she was retired from the former A&P Tea Company where she worked in the meat department. She was a former member of the Daugherty Twp. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and was a frequent visitor to the Meadows Race Track. She was a member of St. John's Burry's Church, Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dillon, on Oct. 30, 1982; five brothers, Lewis, Homer, Robert, Eugene and Harold; three sisters, Katherine Gardner, Ruth Shively and Margaret Logan.
Surviving are a niece, Jean Young; great-nephews and great-nieces, Harold Fyock, Scott Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Bernard Wilson, Debbie Baker, Linda Badgett, Jim Henderson, Bill Wilson, Joey Wilson and Carrie Wilson, many more great-nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
