Alford Snowden

Alford G. Snowden, 87, of New Brighton, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Carriage Court, New Castle.

Born June 18, 1936, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late John E. and Ruth (Ritter) Snowden.  He retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1996.  He was a member of the New Brighton Eagles, and an associate member of the American Legion, Post 19 in New Brighton.  He loved walking and enjoyed swimming and ice skating in his youth.

Surviving is his daughter, Deborah (Daniel) Cunningham, sons, Jeffrey Snowden, and Gary Snowden; grandchildren, Jordan Cunningham, Joseph Cunningham, John Paul Cunningham, Julia Cunningham, James Cunningham, Eric Snowden, and Jacob Snowden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Alford was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Ann (Berny) Snowden, sisters, Naomi Taylor and Molly Ann Walsh, and brothers, Bob, Don, and Jack Snowden.

Private interment was held at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
