Alfred "Muss" Bonomo

Alfred “Muss” Bonomo,87 , of North Sewickley Twp., passed away Friday June 14, 2013 at his home.

Born February 18, 1926 in New Brighton a son of the late Alfred and Rose (Pullion) Bonomo. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946.
He was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton where he volunteered for many events and bingo. He was an avid golfer and a member of the American Legion, Post #19 in New Brighton.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dolores (Pizzella) Bonomo, 1989 and a sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Cliff Herron.

Surviving are one daughter Linda Hemphill(Mac Graham), Ellwood City, one son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Deanna Bonomo, Darlington, two granddaughter Selina and grandson Sam Bonomo, Darlington,  a longtime companion Barb Lougee, her son and daughter-in-law Staff Sgt. David and Michaela Lougee, their children Brenden and Erin, all of GA, a sister-in-law Anita Thornton, Rochester, a brother-in-law and his wife John and Pat Pizzella, Cheswick, PA, a devoted nephew Cliff Herron and his wife Joyce Herron, many  more nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Friends will be received  Monday 3pm-8pm  in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where prayer will be held Tuesday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.

The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.

Members of the Veteran Honor Guard will meet at 10:45am in the cemetery to provide military honors.
