Allan J. 'Baines' Lizzi

Allan J. "Baines" Lizzi, 61, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born April 12, 1951, in Rochester, he was the son of James and Florence (Crisci) Lizzi of New Brighton. Al was the owner and operator, along with his brother Bob, of the Beaver Valley Carpet Cleaners. He was a devoted grandfather and known to many throughout the valley.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife of 41 years, Ann M (Holaren) Lizzi; one son, Jason Lizzi, Beaver; one daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and James Montgomery, Chippewa Twp.; four grandchildren, Alexis, Abigail and Alan "A.J." Montgomery, and Aydin Murphy; two brothers and their wives, Robert and Jani Lizzi, New Brighton, and James and Carol Lizzi, Woodbridge, VA; one sister, Karen Lizzi, Westminster, CO; three sisters-in-laws and two brothers-in-law, Mary King, Tom (Sue) Holaren, Kathy (Paul) Dyrwal, Maggie (John) Reynolds and Jim Holaren, and several nieces, nephews, their families and many friends.

Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
