Ann A. (Nalepa) Kasparek

August 18, 1924 — June 29, 2018

Ann A. Kasparek (Ann Nalepa) Formerly of  North Sewickley Township Ann A. Kasparek (Ann Nalepa), formerly of North Sewickley Township, Pa., died peacefully at 12:45 p.m. on June 29, 2018, at St. Joseph's Senior Living in Louisville, Ohio, at the age of 93. Ann is survived by her children and spouses, Tom (Nancy) Kasparek of Louisville, Ohio, Terry (Maggie) Kasparek of Fountain Hills, Ariz.,  and Burton and Anne (Kasparek/Fortner) Riley of Akron, Ohio; three granddaughters and their spouses, Kristen (Jeff) Leslie of Fairview Park, Ohio, Amy (Craig) Kneidel of Massilon, Ohio, and Kelly (Jim) Sharp of Louisville, Ohio; two grandsons, Tom (Beth) Fortner of Industry, Pa., and Tyler (Angelina) Fortner of Tempe, Ariz.; seven great-grandchildren, Lauryn and Ben Leslie, Luke and Nathan Kneidel, Emery and Brooklyn Sharp and Ava Fortner; and many nieces, nephews and their families. Preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 68 years, Vincent T. Kasparek; her sister, Mary (Nalepa) Kulha; brothers, Joseph, John, Frank and Martin Nalepa; son-in-law, Tom Fortner; niece, Karen (Nalepa) McCoy; nephew, Richard Ondrusek; and grandson, Michael Kasparek.  She was the last of a great generation. She enjoyed gardening, canning, freezing, feeding and taking care of her family. Ann was born of August 8th, 1924, in West Mayfield, Pa., to Martin and Maria (Batoha) Nalepa.  She married Vincent in 1948 and was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, grandmother and great- grandmother all those wonderful years. Friends will be received Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of prayer at 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 521 7th Ave., New Brighton, Pa., with the Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ann's life. Donations can be given in lieu of flowers to the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Mark, Sister Maryann Duplain, 2308 Reno Drive, Louisville, Ohio 44641.
