Anna Mae (Balik) Hardy, 82, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Cambridge Village, Chippewa.
Born December 5, 1932 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Smieska) Balik. She worked for the McGuire Memorial convent house and Holy Family Parish. Anna Mae enjoyed sewing, baking, canning, gardening and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law Beth Ann and Kevin McCarthy, Memphis, TN, Nancy and Keith Radcliff, Daugherty Twp, five grandchildren Patrick and Timmy McCarthy, Carly (Chase) McNutt, Jaclyn (Evan) Dixon and Abbey Radcliff, one brother Paul Balik, Daugherty Twp., one sister Viola Babo, Chicago, IL, one sister-in-law Lee Balik, New Castle, many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by one brother Charles Babo, one sister-in-law Lila Balik and one brother-in-law Raymond Babo.
Friends will be received today 2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, where prayer will be held Friday at 9:30am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
