Anna M.(Riccardi) McCarthy, 82, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born August 21, 1929 in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Jeannette (Lombardo) Riccardi. She was retired from the former Bell Telephone Co., where she was an operator, and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
Surviving are her husband, Frank D. McCarthy, whom she married November 12, 1955; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Tonia; two grandsons, Christopher and Cameron McCarthy, all of New Brighton; one sister, Lena Tooch, Koppel; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor LaRocca, Indiana, and Gertrude Radcliffe, Florida, and many nieces, nephews and their families,
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Riccardi, and three sisters, Martha Dinardo, Josephine Ciani and Angeline DeProspo.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
