Anna Rossa

Anna Rossa, 95, of New Brighton, our beloved mother, entered into to her heavenly rest with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Anna was born May 11, 1919 in New Brighton a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Procovich) Bednar. Married February 19, 1939 to the late Chester Rossa, Anna was a homemaker and wonderful caretaker to her children Chester Jr. and Betty Ann. She enjoyed baking and was best when it came to nut rolls and coconut cream pies.
She will be deeply missed by her children, her son Chester Jr., daughters Betty Ann Rossa and Mary Jane Pisano. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Tim (Suz) Pisano, Toni Marie (David) Howells, Michael (Esther) Pisano, Stephen (Shannon) Pisano and Jonathan (Jheimy) Pisano, 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Steve Bednar.
In addition to her husband, Chester Rossa, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Paul Pisano, three brothers, John, William and Louis Bednar, and three sisters, Sophie Kirchel, Mary Kuberski and Amy Malichky.
There will be no public services. Private family service was held yesterday with her grandson, Rev. David Howells, officiating, at the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Interment followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
