Anthony P. Korcan, 93, of Monaca, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born April 30, 1922, in New Brighton, a son of the late Steven J. Sr. and Mary (Vasko) Koricansky, he was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps as a 2nd LT B-24 pilot over France and Germany. He was a retired carpenter working out of Union Local #922 and was a licensed realtor working with the former Jack Sidler Sr. Insurance and Real Estate.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Martinkovich) Korcan; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and David DeLuco, Monaca; two sons, Michael (Chris Weber) Korcan, Chippewa Twp., and Jeff Korcan, Maui, HI; four grandchildren, Alicia (Tom) Scarpone, Melissa (Vincent) Catanzarite, C.J. Korcan and Korrie Korcan; eight great-grandchildren, Vincent, Gianna, Philomena, Sophie, Lauren, Allison, Nathan and Jordan, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
The last of his siblings, he was preceded by three brothers, Steven Jr. and John Koricansky, and Joseph Korcan; two sisters, Ann Pozgay and Cecilia Wright, and a grandson, Philip Farinacci.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
