Barbara A. (Borkovich) Gabrich

Barbara A. Gabrich, 95, of Conway, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022.

The daughter of the late Nick and Mary (Borosic) Borkovich of New Brighton was known for her great cooking and being a wonderful mother.  She was the beloved wife of Walter Gabrich for 66 years who passed away in 2015.  She was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist, formerly Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway and a member of Christian Mother’s.  Barbara worked at Babcock and Wilcox during the war period and at W.H. Elverson Company, New Brighton.

In addition to her parents and husband Walter, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Gabrich, four brothers, John, Charles, and Steve Fabyanic. Nick Borkovich; three sisters, Mary Fabyanic, Rev. Amelia Bird, and Helen Kullen.

Surviving is her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Nick Gabrich, Lancaster, OH, and Greg (Peggy) Gabrich, Baden; a grandson, Erik (Emily) Gabrich, Ohioville, sister, Katherine Rombold, New Brighton, and several nieces, nephews and their families. Friends will be received Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton.  A blessing service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.
