Barbara J. (Curley) Hartman
Barbara J. (Curley) Hartman, 75, of Beaver Falls, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born June 20, 1939, in McKee's Rocks, a daughter of the late Richard J. and Emma (Weber) Curley. She was a retired elementary school teacher in Washington, PA, and was a graduate of Thiel College where she met her husband, the late pastor Robert J. Hartman. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of New Brighton where she put in many hours while her husband pastored there for 22 years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Schmitt and her husband, Raymond Schmitt.
Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Paul Kane, Conway; four nephews, Paul (Beth) Kane, Pittsburgh; Patrick (Michelle) Kane, Mars; Rich Schmitt, Mathias, VA; Christian Schmitt, Harrisonburg, VA; great-niece and nephews, Austin, Mason, Adriana and Carson and her beloved canine companion, Chauncy.
There will be no viewing. Friends will be received Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 10th Ave., New Brighton, with pastor Frank Kantz officiating.
Entombment will take place in Beaver Mausoleum.
