Barbara Jean (Hilberg) Mineard

Barbara Jean (Hilberg) Mineard passed away February 23, 2026, at Heritage Valley, Beaver after a lengthy battle of dementia and diabetes. She was born on July 30, 1950, to the late Robert and Jean (Smith) Hilberg.

She is survived by her husband Richard “Pete” Mineard of 52 years.

Barbara graduated from New Brighton High School in 1968 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1972. She was a teacher at St. Philomena School in Beaver Falls.

She was a devoted mother to her two boys, Christopher (Heather) Mineard, of Beaver Falls, PA, and Bryan (Cari) Mineard, of Twinsburg, Ohio.

In addition to her husband and two sons, Barbara is survived by her sister, Bonny (John) Burlett; brother, William Hilberg; her five grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley (Zac) Tinyo, Gregory, Brynn, and Brody Mineard; and two great-grandchildren, Ryland and Copeland Jackson.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Bob Hilberg.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 2pm until the time of Blessing Service at 6:30pm at J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton, PA, 15066, with Father Kim Schreck officiating.
