Bernard "Ed" McFee, 65, of Patterson Twp., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born January 28, 1948, in Rochester, the son of Sara (Schuller) McFee of Freedom and the late Bernard Ford McFee, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a corporal with the United States Marine Corps. "He fought a good fight, now rest in peace my brother." He then received his associate degree in auto body mechanics from C.C.B.C and was the first student to serve on the college's advisory board. He was the owner of the former Ed's Crash & Custom Body Shop of Freedom, and then worked in different capacities for several companies including Morrow's and Preston's. He was a past president of the Nova Car Club, a former member of the Beaver County Opera Society, and his hobby was photography.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his fiancée and love of his life, Pam (Steck) Cron; two sons, Nathan McFee, Ventura, CA, and Bernard McFee, New Brighton; two bothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Hope McFee, Freedom, and Guy and Adrienne McFee, Chippewa Twp.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shiela and Richard Glass, New Brighton, and Marilyn McFee, Freedom, and several nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Keith McFee.

Friends will be received Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of blessing service at 2 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.

Cremation will take place after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made in his name to the funeral home.

Members of the V.V.A. #862, Beaver County, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home to provide military honors.
