Bertha A. (Mooney) Bable, 66, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 in her home after an extended illness.
Born April 11, 1948 in New Brighton, a daughter of Mary (Durish) Mooney, New Brighton and the late C.L. "Bus" Mooney. She was a retired teller with the Bank of America. She was a very loving wife and mother who adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to visit her family. She will be missed by all especially her best friend, Randy, her husband.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 31 years, Randy Bable; daughter, Michelle Lucic Uthoff, Beaver; sons, James (Jennifer) Lucic, David (Sonya) Lucic and Edward (Laney) Bable, all of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Madison, Jakob and Jayden Uthoff, Tiffany Millirons, Jamie Lucic, Joshua Whitt, Ethan Lucic, Aiden Lucic, Katie Mae and Dean Bable; one great-grandson, Landon; two brothers, Leroy "Fats" (Judy) Mooney and Byron Mooney, both of New Brighton; five sisters, Shirley Campbell, New Brighton; Nancy (Bob) Schettig, Buffalo, WY; Patti (Ed) Rae, New Brighton; Mary Ann (Tim) O'Shea, New Sewickley Twp.; Donna (Brad) Custer, New Brighton; brother-in-law, John (Rose) Bable, Vanport; sister-in-law, Barbara (Arnie) Armstrong, Newport News, VA; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Camp, and a brother, Donald "George" Mooney.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
