Betty E. (Rombold) Ceranic
Betty E. (Rombold) Ceranic, 88, of Freedom, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Heritage Valley Sewickley.
Born August 20, 1926 in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Albert K. and Lena (Hoey) Rombold. She was kind and generous, a great cook and loved to bowl. Betty loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and playing her daily numbers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Ceranic, on October 3, 2005; five brothers, Milton, Kenneth, Fred, August and Norman, and four sisters, Alice, Pauline, Mary and Jean.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Christine) Ceranic Jr., Baden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel (Thomas) Smrzlick, Freedom, and Charlotte (Mick) Cochrane, Williamsburg, PA; five grandchildren, Craig Micija, Heather Cochrane, Jennifer (Duane) Champion, Joel Cochrane and Amber (Vince) Guido; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Art Rombold, New Brighton; two sisters, Ruth Borkovich, Beaver Falls, and Lena Neal, Beaver; sister-in-law, Katy Rombold, New Brighton; two brothers-in-law, Glen Wallace, West Palm Beach, and Sam Baker, New Sewickley Twp., and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
At her request, there will be no viewing.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. David Paulovich officiating.
