Betty (Coburn) Nicholson

Betty (Coburn) Nicholson, 74, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at her daughter's home.

Born March 16, 1939, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Charles and Norma (Reda) Coburn, she was retired from Arco Polymers, Inc and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bones" Nicholson, April 25, 2009; one sister, Dorothy Coburn and two brothers William and Donald Coburn.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Nicholson and Colleen and Tim Nicley, all of New Brighton; three brothers, Robert and his wife, Wilma Coburn, Richard and his wife, JoAnn Coburn, all of Daugherty Twp. and Clifford Coburn, New Brighton; a sister, Jean and her husband, Ivan Sargent, New Brighton; brother-in-law, Michael and his wife, Gloria Nicholson, Daugherty Twp.; best friends, Ron and Pat Winters, New Brighton and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
