Carol A. (Maurer) Perkins

November 15, 1938 — January 22, 2021

Carol A. (Maurer) Perkins, 82, of New Sewickley Twp., PA passed away Friday January 22, 2021, at UPMC Passavant.

Born November 15, 1938 in Cleveland, OH a daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Jacquemain) Maurer.  Carol was a 1956 graduate of Euclid High School, a life-long learner, and avid reader.  Her interests included history, geology, archeology, weather phenomena, music, and playing UpWords.  She also enjoyed bowling with family and in a league.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerald D. Perkins September 28, 2017 and her brother Richard W. Maurer of Kirtland, OH on November 6, 2020.

Surviving are four daughters Dr. Anita and husband Tim Springer, Universal City, TX, Rev. Suzanne Perkins, Ambridge, Joy and her husband Jim Dasta, Mt. Lebanon, and Kirstie Perkins, Steubenville, OH.

Private family services were held on January 26, 2021 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, New Brighton.

Interment followed in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.

Now that larger gatherings are possible, a joint Memorial Service for Carol (Maurer) Perkins and her brother, Richard Maurer will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, corner of Market and Third Streets, Georgetown, PA  15043 (approximately a 2-hour drive from Kirtland, OH).  All friends and family are invited to attend.  For additional information or directions, please contact Suzanne at 412-708-4721.
