Catherine J. Balmer, 86, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully November 25, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with her loving family by her side.
Born on September 10, 1930, she is the daughter of the late John and Abrea Edwards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Balmer, in 2002; a son, Gerald "Bunk" Balmer, in 2014, and five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Juanita) Balmer, White Twp.; a daughter-in-law, Denise Balmer, Beaver Falls; many loving
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Donald W. MacNeil officiating.
Private interment will be held at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice and the staff and caregivers at Blair's Personal Care Home.
