Charles “Charlie” Wade passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.

Charlie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was steady, dependable, and fiercely protective of the people he loved. He was always there for his family — no matter what, every single time. In moments of celebration or in times of hardship, he showed up. To his family, he was the one you could call, the one you could lean on, the one who seemed to have the answers even when life became difficult. His strength brought reassurance, and his guidance left a lasting imprint, especially on his children.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 14 years, rising to the rank of Chief Sonar Technician aboard the USS Drum in San Diego. His time in the Navy shaped his discipline, resilience, and deep sense of responsibility. After completing his military service, Charlie transitioned into the technology field, building a successful career as a Senior Enterprise Architect. He took great pride in his work and in solving complex problems, and that passion for technology and systems thinking was something he passed down to his sons, Charles and Jason who followed in his footsteps. His influence as a father extended far beyond career paths — he was deeply admired and looked up to not just for what he accomplished, but for the kind of man he was.

Charlie believed in creating experiences and simple traditions with his children and grandchildren. Whether it was road trips, family outings, or just time spent together, he made sure the people he loved felt supported and encouraged. Some of his happiest moments were the everyday ones — long conversations at home, shared laughter, and spontaneous trips to Home Depot to grab hot dogs from the stand he always enjoyed. Those ordinary rituals became cherished memories.

Above all, Charlie was a genuinely good man. He lived with integrity, treated people with respect, and loved his family without reservation.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Georjeane Wade; his mother, Lorainne Wade; his children Dawn, Beth, and Charles; and his step-sons Danny and Jason. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his brother Mark; his sisters Joyce, Phyllis, Loraine, and Jenny; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wade, and his sister Elizabeth.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment we were given with him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
