Charles N. “Dooney” Anderson, 72, of New Brighton passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born September 11, 1944 in New Brighton a son of Abbie (Anderson) Carter of Coraopolis and the late Warren Carter Sr. He was a retired group leader at the former Westinghouse in Vanport. He enjoyed jogging then switched to walking and loved to read his Bible.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife Shirley Anderson Brookhaven, PA, two sons Michael (Shonda ) Anderson-Mason, Salineville, OH, Jeffery “Spoons” (Leanne) Anderson, College Park, MD, two daughters Tamika Anderson, Waldorf, MD, Melba Johnson, Coraopolis, six grandchildren Michael Alan Mason, Micoy Mason, Alayah Reynolds, Kennedy McKay, Makayla McClary and Michai Mason, one sister Darlene (Henry) Polite, Coraopolis, special friend Jeannette Moody, Rochester and a host of nieces, nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Anderson and Warren Carter Jr.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave New Brighton. Friday friends will be received from 10:00am until time of home going service at 11:00am in the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 630 3rd Avenue, Beaver Falls with the Rev. Dwight Banks officiating.
Interment will take place in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
