Charles A. Pletcher, 86, of Pulaski Twp., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Providence Care Center.
Born February 15, 1931, in Upper Turkey Foot Twp., Pa., a son of the late William C. and Ida (May) Pletcher. He was the longtime owner/operator of Pletcher Autobody in New Brighton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty Jean (Winner) Pletcher, May 31, 2013; a daughter, Patti Wiper; a son, Earl Thomas; an infant brother, Ernest "Ernie" Pletcher; and a brother, Harry Pletcher.
Surviving are one son, Roger Cramer, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Judy Kuzma, New Brighton, and Cynthia Patton Collins, Daugherty Twp.; eight grandchildren, Roger (Susan) Teagarden, Teresa (Don) Ware, Kelly Collins, Emily Yarborough, Angela Wiper, Jimmy Wiper, Brian Thomas and Lisa Morgan; five great-grandchildren, Donald and Kristie Ware, Amanda Dowling, Kaylee Collins, Jimmy Wiper Jr., and Bailey and Baya Tankersley; two great-great-grandchildren Livie and Leo; one sister, Erma Hay, Markleton, Pa., and longtime friend, Ben Puffinburger.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a blessing service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Bob Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
