Chief Warrant Officer (Ret.) Wayne C. Zinsser
Chief Warrant Officer (Ret.) Wayne C. Zinsser, 74, of New Brighton, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024.
Born September 12, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard and Catherine (Kirner) Zinsser, Sr. His passion for aviation led him to enlist in the U.S. Army, where he embarked on a remarkable career. As a skilled helicopter pilot, Wayne flew numerous missions across Germany, Korea, and Honduras, demonstrating unwavering commitment and bravery. He was Catholic by Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Zinsser and his sister, Kathleen Zinsser.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Barbara (Kerr) Zinsser, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl., a brother, Richard Jr. (Carol) Zinsser, New Brighton; two sisters, Debbie (Paul) Roxer, Virginia Beach, Beth (Allen) Crivelli, Pittsburgh, several nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends will be received, Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Holy Family Church, New Brighton. Fr. Howard Campbell, officiating.
The Beaver County Special Unit will provide military honors for Wayne Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Holy Family Church.
