Christine L. Book

Christine L. (Sayre) Book New Brighton Christine L. (Sayre) Book, 58, of New Brighton, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018, at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born October 16, 1959, in Rochester, she was a daughter of Michael "Mick" (Diane) Sayre of Midland and Laurell (Lewis) Morse of New Brighton. Chris had tended bar at several area clubs and bars. She then devoted her life to caring for her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashly. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her loving life companion, Gary Skidmore; two sons, Larry Sayre, New Brighton, and John (Rachel) Book Jr., Beaver Falls; their father and her former husband, John A. Book Sr., New Brighton; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashly, Trey, Charleigh and Greyson; three brothers, Michael (Jeanie) Sayre, Beaver; Tom (Valerie) Sayre, Freedom, and Mark (Karen) Sayre, New Brighton; one sister, Penny (Dave) Atkinson, New Brighton; her great-grandmother, Eva Sayre, McMechen, W.Va., and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no viewing. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made in her name to the funeral home to establish a fund for her grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashly Sayre.
