Cynthia L. Corrado
After years of battling illness, Cynthia L. Corrado of Monaca, Pa found rest with God on October 17th, 2022. She passed peacefully in her home under the care of her family. Born in Wampum, Pa., October 19, 1960, Cindy was the daughter of Edith and Lou Mussi.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Corrado; son, Anthony (Sara) Corrado; grandkids, Sofia and A.J; daughter, Nicolette Corrado, grandkids, Corrado and MiaBella; brothers, Joe, Charles and Paul; sisters, Ramona and Palmeria. She was preceded by her sister, Deborah.
Raised on a farm, Cindy spent her childhood on horseback. With time she became an esteemed English equestrian. In her adult years she dedicated herself to caring for others as a nurse. She worked in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit and then found her calling in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Allegheny General Hospital, where she worked for 35 years.
Cindy loved music and spent 10 years as the lead vocalist for “BANG”. Spare time was rare, but she enjoyed spending it with her family and dogs. After a forced retirement due to illness, Cindy spent every second with her grandchildren, who adored her and affectionately called her NaNa.
She will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held, Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Mars VFW Post 7505, 331 Mars Valencia Road, Mars, Pa 16046.
