David V. Lutz

David V. Lutz, 67, of New Brighton passed away Monday November 11, 2024, in Beaver Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on June 11, 1957, in New Brighton. He was the son of the late Roy V. and Betty (Fleeson) Lutz. He was retired from a Beaver County Drug and Alcohol program where he worked in administration. David was a dedicated member of the Tao Temple in Sewickley, PA, where he practiced Taoism with reverence and compassion. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he brought the same sense of peace and mindfulness to all who knew him. As an artist, David was known for his unique ability to see beauty in the world around him and translate that vision into captivating works of art. David's time in Taiwan also had a profound impact on him. He spent several years teaching English, where he not only imparted knowledge to his students but also embraced the culture and made lasting friendships. For years, he hosted festive Christmas parties at his home, where friends from all walks of life would gather to share good food, lively conversation, and the spirit of the season. Above all, David will be remembered by his friends for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought to others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Michael Lutz.

David is survived by a brother, Thomas Lutz, a sister, Peggy Marecic, numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Friday, December 27, 2024, from 6 PM until the time of service at 7 PM at J & J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Avenue New Brighton, PA, 15066.
