David J. McDonald, 43, of New Brighton, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born February 21, 1973, in New Brighton, the son of Louise (Mendenhall) McDonald of Beaver Falls and the late John David McDonald. He had worked at A-Tops Concrete of Beaver Falls and was a member of the Salvation Army.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 11 years, Lisa (Ferrigno) McDonald; one sister, Ruth Mendenhall, Beaver Falls and her boyfriend, Chuck Kasonovich, New Brighton; one nephew, James Roman; a great-nephew, James Roman Jr. and his mother, Beth Davis, all of New Brighton; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Lester and Elmira Mendenhall; paternal grandparents, Veronica Allen and Jessie McDonald and his wife, Margaret.
There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 4 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with Major Richard Lyle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask to have memorials be made in his name to the funeral home.
