Deborah Ann (Speaks) Robinson
Deborah Ann (Speaks) Robinson, 66, of New Brighton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 4, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Deborah was born September 16, 1950, in Ellwood City, to the late Roscoe James Speaks Jr. of Pittsburgh and the late Laura E. Ikard of New Brighton. She was the first born loving daughter to her parents. Deborah went by many names, some knew her as Debbie, Deb or Squeeze and she answered to them all. Debbie's journey of life started when she attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she was placed on the dean's list for her high achievements in early child education; to which she became employed at the New Castle Early Head Start. Following her schooling, she also attended California State to further her education in teaching. After her career she had two loving children to which were her life. A lot of you may remember her as the "Kmart Lady"! Debbie was a dedicated worker with 20 years of service at the Rochester Kmart! She later moved to California and lived a free spirit life, but then returned back to Beaver County. Where ever Debbie went her presents made a difference. She will be truly missed.
Leaving to mourn are her very special daughter, Tara Robinson, New Brighton; sisters, Sandra (Charles) Ward, Philadelphia; Joyce Ikard-Moore, and Susan (Boyd) Wright, all of New Brighton and Alesia Ikard, Monaca; two grandchildren, Nathan Diaz-Green of Texas and Hailey Green of California; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends who loved dearly and her granddog, "BeBe."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Tanya Robinson and grandson, her pride and joy Lamar Green, both of California; her sister, Linda Ikard; three brothers, Daniel, William and Samuel Ikard; paternal grandfather, Roscoe James Speaks Sr. and maternal grandparents, Cliff and Laura Robinson.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with minister Dawn Jackson of Greater Faith Family Worship Center, Industry, and pastor Bobby Wilson of Light of Salvation, Beaver Falls, officiating.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery.
