Delphine M. 'Dolly' (Andino) Gidaro
PATTERSON TOWNSHIP, FORMERLY OF NEW BRIGHTON
Delphine M. "Dolly" (Andino) Gidaro, 81, of Patterson Twp., formerly of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014, after a long battle with cancer with her family at her side.
Born May 26, 1933, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late Pietro and Ortenzia (Puteri) Andino, she had been a supervisor for Bell Telephone in Beaver Falls before marrying her husband Joe. She then worked with him for many years at their Oak Hill Service Station, where she eventually opened Dolly's Sandwich Shop. Her favorite times were with her "Golden Girls" playing cards and spending time together. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of New Brighton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Gidaro, in 1996; an infant brother, Americo Andino, and young sister, Carmella Andino in Italy, and a sister Carmella Mitchell.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Kimberly Gidaro, Harrison City; one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Daniel Bartolomeo, Ellwood City; four granddaughters, Juliana Gidaro, and Nichole, Sophia and Alexa Bartolomeo; one sister, Marge Lombardi, Ellwood City; two brothers, Thomas Andino and Peter (Gilda) Andino, all of Beaver Falls, and numerous nieces, nephews, their families and many friends.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
