Delurah 'Dee' (Maine) Shoaff
Delurah Shoaff, 75, of New Brighton, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Friendship Ridge.
Born February 7, 1937 in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Grace (Butts) Maine. Dee graduated from Hopewell High School, class of 1954. She worked at Providence Hospital as an LPN and then went on to get her RN License at C.C.B.C. After receiving her degree, she worked for The Medical Center, Beaver. Dee was a member of the New Brighton S.O.I, enjoyed camping, dancing, cooking, and was Presbyterian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Shoaff.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, William Shoaff, Sr., Hammondsville, OH; Jeffrey and Darlene Shoaff, Sebastian, FL, and Richard and Kristen Shoaff, New Brighton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Irma Trimble, Beaver, and Carol and Daniel Bucan, Raccoon Twp.; eight grandchildren, William Jr., Justin, Sarah, Sean, Bryan and his wife Pam, Beth Ann, Kylee, and Jacob; three great-grandchildren; a special niece, Elaine McCartney; her dog, Abbey, and several special nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor John Spencer will officiate.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
