Donald E. Moore, 83, of New Brighton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 6, 2015, at U.P.M.C Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

Born May 16, 1932, in Aliquippa, a son of the late Cyril and Thelma (Winkle) Moore. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War and was a retired bricklayer from the former St. Joseph Lead Co. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the F&AM, Union Lodge #259 and American Legion, Post #19 all in New Brighton.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Etta (Hogue) Moore; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Amy Moore, Fort Union, VA, and Rich and Diane Moore, New Brighton; six grandchildren, Melanie, Mark and Matthew Moore, Brandy (Ryan) Lockhart, and Nicole Lee and Danielle J. Moore; a sister-in-law, Stella Moore, Canton, OH, and five nieces and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deborah Jane Moore and a brother, Cyril Moore.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Dickey officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet 11:30 a.m. at the cemetery to provide military honors.
