Donn Willard Sheets

Donn Willard Sheets New Brighton Donn Willard Sheets, 80, of New Brighton, passed away  Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver. Born April 8, 1938, in Beaver Falls, a son of the late Donn Duane and Edna (Jenkins) Sheets. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1955 to 1959 and was retired from the Union Local #833. Donn enjoyed wood working, stain glass and remote controlled airplanes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia (Kashella) Sheet, and his beloved canine companions, Hershey Bar Sheets and Rusty Sheets. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Dawna Greco; one son, Donn Jr. (Shari), New Galilee; one daughter, Debra Sheets, Rochester; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna (Dave) Matheny, New Brighton, and their sons, Bryan and Dave Matheny, and Delpha (Dick) Tyree, Columbus, Ohio, and their daughters, Donna Mae Hersch and Dawn Tyree and their families; several cousins; his stepchildren, Judy (Doug) Dennis, Janet (Jeff) McCanna and family, Tom (Lisa) Greco and family, Tricia (Jeff) Carmody, and Rich (Clare) Greco and family. Friends will be received Tuesday from 10 a.m. to time of funeral service at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Berkley and the Rev. Dean Byron officiating in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com. Interment will take in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorials are wished to be made in his name to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
