Donna R. (McCandless) Chapman, 61, of New Brighton, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born September 28, 1952 in Beaver Falls, the daughter of Dolores (Kennedy) McCandless of New Brighton and the late Donald R. McCandless. She held many different jobs during her life and lastly had work in retail resetting for Acosta in Robinson Twp. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, the American Legion, Post #19, the S.O.I. #1882, F.O.E. #1342 and the United Croatian Club, all of New Brighton.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Chapman, in 1986, and an infant son.
Surviving are two sons, Donald L. (Rebecca) Chapman, Baden; Richard (Michelle) Chapman, Darlington; three daughters, Dory Lynne Chapman, New Brighton; Deidra Chapman, Inner Grove, MN; Deborah Chapman, Patterson Twp., 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters Mary F. McCandless and her companion, Jim Miller, New Brighton; Jean A. McCandless and her companion, Brian Ivan and their daughter, Stacey Ivan, all of Beaver Falls; her loving companion, Byron Braddock, New Brighton; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Kantz officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
