Eleanor (Dancek) May, 80, of New Brighton, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
She was born November 11, 1936, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Magera) Dancek. She was retired from the former B&W Tubular Steel Co., where she was an executive assistant. Eleanor was a member of the B&W Ladies Luncheon Group and the New Brighton Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph May Sr., in 1995.
Surviving are one step-daughter, Cynthia (John) Cienkowski, New Brighton; one step-son, Ralph (Mandy) May, Zelienople; three grandsons, Michael (Erin) Cienkowski, Tim (Amy) Cienkowski and Matthew May; great-grandchildren, A.J., Evelyn, Maxwell, Jocelyn and Alex; one brother, Edward (Sandra) Dancek, Lansing, Mich.; nephews and nieces, Edward (Laura) Dancek Jr., John Dancek, Shari (Randy) Cole, Melinda (William) Widdicombe and their families; several cousins, and especially her dear cousin and friend, Pat Kolumban.
There will be no viewing. Friends will be received Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, with Pastor Stewart Pepper officiating.
Inurnment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Samaritan Beaver for the wonderful care and support of Eleanor and her family.
