Elizabeth "Betty" (Burkus) Buck

Elizabeth “Betty” (Burkus) Buck, 92, of Bridgewater passed away Wednesday October 27, 2021 peacefully after an extended illness.

Born September 22, 1929 in Daisytown, PA a daughter of the late Michael and Priscilla (Sabo) Burkus. Betty retired in 1993 from the former K-Mart in Rochester where she was the candy manager.

In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert H. Buck Jr., an infant son David Buck, four brothers Michael, Steve, John and Alex Burkus, her In -laws Mr. & Mrs. Herbert H. Buck Sr., sister-in-law Marlene Smiley and brother-in-law Ronald Buck.

Survived by two daughters Bobbie (Max) Strano and Kim Buck, all of Bridgewater, grandchildren Wesley (Samantha) McCormick, Warren, TX, Michael (Heather) Strano, Imperial, Elizabeth Strano, Independence Twp., five great grandchildren Everett-Wade McCormick, Waylon McCormick, Domenic, Ella and Maci Strano, one sister Priscilla (Richard) Heffron, Spring Lake, MI, brother-in-law John Smiley, New Brighton, many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received Monday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton and Tuesday from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm.with the Rev. Donald W. MacNeil officiating.

Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
