Emil T. Lucente
Emil T. Lucente, 82, of Beaver Falls, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, in his home with his family by his side.
Born May 18, 1931, in Bellefontaine, OH, a son of the late Emilio and Josephine (Verner) Lucente, he was a graduate of New Brighton High School, class of 1949. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Beaver Falls Turners Club. After working almost 40 years as a steelworker at B&W and St. Joe Zinc, Emil currently had his dream job at Fox Run Golf Course in Beaver Falls.
Emil is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Virginia (Almquist) Lucente; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Michael Short, Annapolis, MD, Bernie and Michael Glover, Beaver; four grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Bates, currently serving in the U.S. Navy in Reno, NV; Autumn Bacorn, East Liverpool, OH; Michael Glover, currently serving with U.S. Army in Afghanistan and his wife, Julie Glover, Monaca and Alex Glover, Beaver; five great-grandchildren, Brittany and Courtney Bacorn, Ian and Nathan Bates and Calan Glover; one sister, Frances Bilotto, Pittsburgh, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayers will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton.
