Florence E. (Gawloski) Brown, 85, of New Brighton, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Beaver Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 7, 1929 in Toronto, OH, a daughter of the late Steve Gawloski and Mary (Wengrzyn) Gawloski Cich. She was a dedicated worker for J.C. Penny where she retired with 28 years of service. Florence was a loyal member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton. She will sadly be missed by all those who knew and loved her, especially her grandsons who were so blessed to have a loving and kind grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Brown, March 10, 2000;  two sisters and their husbands, Wanda and Joseph Troski, and Josephine and Ermil Haught, and two brothers, Edward Gawloski and John "Jr." Cich.

Surviving are one son, Todd E. Brown, New Brighton; two grandsons, Chad (Amanda) Brown, McCandless Twp. and Ryan Brown, New Brighton; special friend, Joanne Brown Vrabel, New Brighton; a sister-in-law, Rose Gawloski, Toronto, OH, and three nephews, Tom Troski, Toronto, OH; Joey Troski, Tampa, FL, and David (Debbie) Haught, Toronto, OH, and their families.

Friends will be received Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Tom Kredel officiating.

Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Florence's wishes were for memorials to be made to Holy Family Parish, c/o 1851 Third Avenue, New Brighton, PA 15066.
