Father Harry E. Parsons

Father Harry E. Parsons, 81, of Pittsburgh Pa., died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Born July 27, 1929, in McKeesport Pa., he was the son of the late Harold E. and Catherine (Flaherty) Parsons. Father Parsons served as Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph, Coraopolis; St. Robert Bellarmine, East McKeesport; Our Lady of Fatima, Hopewell Twp.; Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Pittsburgh, and St. Scholastica, Aspinwall. He was Pastor of St. Paulinus, Clairton, and then he retired from Holy Family Parish, New Brighton.

Surviving are numerous cousins.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 6:30 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com., followed by a Mass of Translation at 7 p.m. in Holy Family R.C. Church, 521 Seventh Ave, New Brighton, Pa., with the Very Reverend Samuel Esposito V.E., officiating. Visitation will follow Mass from 8 to 9 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Holy Family R.C. Church, 521 Seventh Ave, New Brighton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. The Most Reverend Bishop David A. Zubik, Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles, Pa.
