Frances (Janectic) Hollinback

Frances (Janectic) Hollinback, 91, of New Brighton, PA, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls.

Born January 21, 1934, in Fallston, PA. She is the daughter of the late Nick and Mary (Stos) Janectic.  Frances dedicated many years of service to the County of Beaver, working at Brady’s Run Ice Area until her retirement in June 2010. Frances also drove school vans and buses for Ferguson Transportation, and spent time with Frye Bus Garage.

In her free time, Frances loved visiting Mountaineer Casino, playing bingo and cards, especially the game 500, and taking part in the many activities offered at Providence. Her fun and loving spirit, friendly nature, and dedication to others left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Frances is survived by her son Gary (Rhonda) Shingleton, New Brighton, daughter Victoria (Dave Burr) Shingleton, New Brighton, Granddaughter Kylee (Chad) Byrd, Texas, Great Grandson Gabriel Shingleton, Texas, Sister, Anne Ours, Beaver Falls, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by Son, Gregory C. Shingleton, 2019, two husbands, Gale Shingleton, and Thomas Hollinback, 1997, brothers, John, Joe, Michael, Nick, George, and Victor Janectic, sisters, Mary Romanski, Barb Gossard, and Katherine Janectic.

Friends will be welcomed Friday, August 8, from 3-7PM, at the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton, PA, where prayers will be held Saturday at 9:30am.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held August 9, 10AM, at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Holy Family Parish, New Brighton with Father Howard Campbell officiating.

Private interment will follow to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton, PA.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Providence, who loved and cared for Frannie. They are too numerous to list but you all know who you are!
