Frank G. Decanio

Frank G. DeCanio, 67, of Freedom, passed away Sunday December 26, 2021, after a long struggle with cancer.

Born July 22, 1954, in Rochester a son of the late Frank D. and Jane DeCanio. Frank was a loving father and avid sports fan. He played semi-pro football, softball and loved watching his LA Rams and WWE wrestling. He always remembered his time coaching the New Brighton Eagles, Pulaski, Mia’s Pizza, and All-Star teams, along with all the people around him during that time. He was a retired yard foreman for Conrail.

Survived by his four children, daughter Genelle DeCanio, Beaver Falls, sons Frankie G. DeCanio Jr and his wife Amanda, Prince Frederick, MD, Christopher “Bubba” DeCanio, New Brighton and daughter Marissa DeCanio, Conway, three grandchildren, Giovanni Gentilli, Isabella DeCanio, Gianna DeCanio, one sister Linda Dambach, two nieces Jill Dambach and Renee Fabyanic, one nephew Donnie Yates.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton and Friday from 9:00am until time of blessing service at 10:00am

Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Freedom
