Frank D. Pasquale
Frank D. Pasquale, 89, of New Brighton, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at his home.
Born March 9, 1924, in New Brighton, he was a son of the late Patsy and Santa (Priore) Pasquale. He was a veteran of World War II serving proudly serving with the U. S. Army Air Corps, 15th Air Force, 460th Bomb Squadron, where he flew 35 missions on a B-24 bomber as a flight engineer and top turret gunner and was awarded the Air Medal four times. Frank retired from the Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he was a Master Inspector. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Brighton, where he was an altar server as a child and was a member of the Holy Family Gold. Frank, years ago, had been very active with S.O.I. #1883, New Brighton, was a former New Brighton Football Boosters president, and was now active with the Circle of Friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife of 60 years, Anna (Spada) Pasquale, and one brother, Anthony Pasquale.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Denis and Judy Pasquale, New Brighton; Gary and Laura Pasquale, Harmony Twp., and Alan and Gatha Pasquale, Owasso, OK; six grandchildren, Bryan (Tracie) Pasquale, Tom (Jamie) Pasquale, Jessica Krol, Adam (Ruth) Pasquale, Lauren (Roman) Kozak and Jordan Pasquale; four great-grandchildren, Dominic, Dylan, Dmitri and Lily; three brothers, Reynold (Chris) Pasquale, Daugherty Twp.; William Pasquale, Daugherty Twp., and David (Mary) Pasquale, Patterson Twp.; one sister, Loretta Mendicino, Beaver Falls; a special friend, Patricia Sassic, White Twp., and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, www.jjsprattfh.com, where prayer will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Tom Kredel officiating.
Entombment will follow in St. Cecilia's Mausoleum, Rochester.
The family ask donations be made in his name to your favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the cemetery to provide military honors.
